At the border between the United States and Mexico, a vector of infinite thinness requires a network of governmental control mechanisms that widen this line. The design spaces of a border station, for pedestrian and vehicular traffic, require a calibrated and coordinated system of surveillance. While safety and security are the primary concerns, the challenge is to create an identity for this journey.
My role on this project started with the graphic documentation for the qualifications submission. I continued my work on the project after it was awarded working on graphic diagrams, coordination of the large scale art piece into the design, traffic flow mapping, and digital modeling of building components.
